Salesman was painted alongside two other canvas's of the same size and briefly formed part of a triptych before the centre panel was removed leaving the left and right panels as standalone works. Both figures are painted with facial features missing and mouths either forced unnaturally wide by some unknown sense of horror or fixed in a deranged grimace that could easily be interpreted as either mania or fear. No clue is offered as to what either figure is selling and how willing they are to do so.

Framed in black wood (ayous) with a stain finish.
